The TSC Blizzards were first formed in the summer of 2000 as a U9 team, representing the Troy Soccer Club
(TSC) and the Troy Youth Soccer League (TYSL). While our aim is to support the mission of TYSL and TSC; that being to
develop players to feed the high school programs within the city of Troy, we also have a higher goal, that being to develop
a skill set in young ladies that will allow them to grow their skills in the game of soccer, while practicing fair play and
good sportsmanship. While each of our players may contribute in some way to a high school program, a far greater reward
will be to see these players develop a life-long love of the game, which will lead them into playing soccer at some level
long after they graduate from high school. This measure of success will lead each of our players to develop a level
of fitness, physical conditioning, and healthy living that will benefit them both on and off the soccer field for the rest
of their lives.
The Blizzards play in the Michigan Youth Soccer League (MYSL), and
through 4 years played in 2nd thru 4th division of MYSL. In spring of 2004, we competed in 3rd division, and earned
promotion to 2nd division. In the fall of 2004, we competed in 2nd division, winning the division championship, and
earned promotion to 1st division for the spring 2005 season. The spring 2005 season was a challenge for us, competing
in the Premier Division for the first time. We played competitively in most of our games, finishing with a 3-7-2 record
that did not really reflect our progression in both skill and team development. The highlight of our spring 2005 season was
earning the Championship of the Junior Irish Memorial Day Invitational for U13 Girls, White Division. For the Fall 2005
season, we will be entering the Michigan State Premier Soccer League. Here are some photos of our most recent championships.

The TSC Blizzards are coached by Greg Edgin and Cliff Spencer.
Greg Edgin has been coaching within TYSL/TSC since 1990. He holds a "D" License from the Michigan
State Youth Soccer Association, and has coached both boys and girl's teams within TYSL, Michigan Youth Soccer League, and
the Michigan State Premier Soccer League. He is also a USSF Grade 8 referee, and has been refereeing since 1992.
Cliff Spencer has been involved with coaching in TYSL for over 9 years. He holds a MSYSA "E" license.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank each of the team members and families who have played with
the TSC Blizzards over the past year, and in some cases, over the past 7 ½ years. This has been a great experience
with a great group of young ladies, and we look forward to continuing to work with them in the years ahead.
